Course Pre-requisites

Participants must be able to swim.
The Minimum Age is 12 and prior Medical Conditions must be discussed with the Instructor allocated to the Course.

Certification

The NAUI Scuba Diver Course will certify the diver to dive under the direct supervision of an instructor to a maximum depth of 12m and in environments equivalent to their training (inland only).
Upon Completion – you will receive a Scuba Diver Certification Card. Valid for 6 months.

Cancellation

Cancellations 24 hours prior to the start of the course will be refunded less the deposit of R850 for the course materials. Due to the nature of the cancellations, we require a minimum of 4 in order to run the course.

Scuba Diver

Want to learn how to dive but just don’t have the time for the full Open Water Course? Then this is the course for you!

We give you the opportunity to start your scuba adventure, without having to commit the full time and financially to the Open Water Course. You are introduced to the basic concepts involved in Scuba diving and can continue to Open Water at a later stage.

Certification

You will earn the NAUI Scuba Diver certification. You may dive inland and to a maximum depth of 12m.

You can upgrade your Scuba Diver certification to an Open Water Certification when you are ready (within 6 months).

Course Details

Includes:

  • 3 lectures on the basics of Scuba Diving
  • 4 Pool sessions
  • 1 Snorkel Session @ Miracle Waters
  • 3 Scuba Dives @ Miracle Waters to a maximum depth of 12m
  • Pool session in an indoor heated pool as well as an outdoor pool depending on weather
  • All SCUBA equipment included (We have limited snorkelling rental equipment)
    It is recommended that you purchase your own mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit and boots for hygienic reasons. Your instructor will advise on the right gear to balance comfort, safety and budget!
  • NAUI Scuba Diver certification card – You can dive under the direct supervision of an instructor to a maximum depth of 12m.

Excludes:

  • Entrance at Miracle waters

Course Pre-Requisites

  • Participants must be able to swim
  • Minimum Age: 12
  • Prior Medical Conditions must be discussed with the Instructor allocated to the Course.
  • Special mention should be made of the following Medical Conditions:
    – Asthma
    – Epilepsy
    – Heart Disorders
    – Lung Disorders
    – Severe Claustrophobia
    – Recent Chest Colds
    – Recent Sinus Infections
    – Treatments and/or Surgeries

(Please note: Not all of the above mentioned medical conditions are a definite exclusion from a Scuba Diver Course, and a participant may engage in the course provided a Medical Certificate is provided by his/her Doctor stating that said participant is fit to Dive.)

Time Requirements

The Scuba Diver Course requires:

  • 3 Evenings for lectures
  • 2 Saturday afternoons and 1 Sunday to complete the pool training
  • 1 Sunday for dives at Miracle waters

Our Course is incredibly thorough and every effort is made to make sure it is an enjoyable and manageable course for all students.
The Schedules require huge effort and planning from each allocated Instructor and participants are expected to attend the class on time and as scheduled.
Should a participant need to cancel for whatever reason – please contact the allocated Instructor.
Due to the nature of the cancellations, we do require a minimum of 4 participants in order to run the course. Should we not have the minimum number required, the course will be moved to the next available date.

Deposits and Payments

A deposit of R850 is required to secure your spot on the course.
This is a non-refundable deposit and is used to cover the costs of your training material.

Final payment needs to be made prior to course starting date or cash can be handed to your instructor on the course day prior to any training taking place.
